How Much does a Surrogate get paid?
Surrogate compensation ranges between $70,000 to over $100,000 depending on the arrangement, where you live, and other factors such as if you are an experienced surrogate or if it is your first time experiencing a surrogacy pregnancy.
There are several ways a surrogate will be “paid” or compensated for being a surrogate. Surrogates will receive compensation for events such as the medical screening appointment and procedures such as the embryo transfer procedure. Once a surrogate is pregnant, the major portion of surrogate compensation will start to be received on a monthly basis, which can range between $7,777-$8,888 or more per month depending on the base compensation rate that has been agreed upon.
Kind Heart Surrogacy Benefits Package
$70,000-$80,000 (monthly payments once you are pregnant)
Additional Compensation (on top of the $70,000-$80,000):
$200 per month for misc. expenses
$300-$600 per month for insurance coverage (paid directly to the insurance provided)
$1,000 for attending your medical screening appointment (even if you do not qualify)
$1,000 for the embryo transfer procedure
$6,000 for carrying a twin pregnancy
$500 Injectable medication start fee
$1,000 maternity clothing allowance
$500 confirmation of heart beat
$100 per day of travel for misc expenses (all travel will be arranged for you and paid for)
$200 per week for pumping breast milk (not required)
$1,500 housekeeping and child care during bedrest (if required)
$5,000 for cesarean section delivery
Lost wage reimbursement
Legal representation in the surrogacy contract is paid for you.
$1,000 per month holding fee for non-medical delays in surrogacy.
